Here is a song i like from the movie Snatch.
I was reminded of this song while watching a vid here about crazy girlfriend emails.
Here is a clip of the movie with the song. The two dogs chasing after the rabbit look like Whippets just like Mr. Bennington (skunk smell is almost completely gone, finally!)
Our little whipet, Mr. Benington, decided to run down a skunk the other night. The skunk was around a corner of a short wall and I didn’t even see him. At first I thought Benington was going after a cat, but two seconds after he ran to the end of his leash I could smell it was no cat. I thought the dead roadkill skunks smelled bad, but when you smell the spray up close you feel the nausea more then you smell it.
Since I live in an apartment I wasn’t able to just hose the dog down outside. I cleaned him up the best I could with vinegar then brought him into the bathtub. Once in there we washed him down with tomato soup (no juice in the house) at first. That didn’t work so we tried baking soda and dish soap. That helped a little.
Benington spent the night outside and was only able to come inside after we bought some de-skunk spray from the pet store. Unfortunately the bathroom is still unusable even after using the de-skunk spray and bleach, but is getting less stinky after each day.
Here are some pics Becca took. I think the tomato bath was more traumatic for Benington than the skunk stink.
